An Athlete Supported by Our Research Places Fourth at the World Wheel Gymnastics Championships
Matsuura, an Assistant Professor in Utsunomiya University’s Cooperative Faculty of Education, placed fourth in the vault event at the World Wheel Gymnastics Championships, held in Denmark on May 25–28, 2022!
Congratulations!
Genta Ochi and colleagues in our laboratory provide conditioning support for Matsuura.
Matsuura combines a career as a university faculty member with competition as an elite athlete!
Our support program remotely measures physical and psychological stress and load, as well as cognitive performance. The results are used to inform training and conditioning for competition.
